45th President Donald Trump made harsh comments about Biden administration Special Counsel Jack Smith and accused the U.S. federal government of conducting “psychological warfare” operations against Americans in remarks made shortly after he was indicted in Florida.
The former president gave his speech after entering a not guilty plea at a federal courthouse in Miami, Florida, where he was booked on a 37-count indictment over what he has frequently described as the “Boxes Hoax” pertaining to the Biden administration’s allegation that he mishandled classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago resort.
During the fiery speech, the 45th President levied attacks on the “thug” and “deranged lunatic” Special Counsel Smith, who seemingly at the behest of the president’s chief political adversary, leads the charge to put Trump in prison.
“I’ve named him ‘deranged Jack Smith,’” Trump said. “I wonder what his name used to be, Jack Smith, it sounds so innocent doesn’t it. ‘Jack Smith,’ what’s his name ‘Jack Smith.’ He’s a very nice man. He’s a behind the scenes guy. But his record is absolutely atrocious.”
“It’s no wonder this raging lunatic was shipped off to the Hague to prosecute warfare rules using globalist tribunals not beholden to the Constitution, or the rule of law. Two things Jack Smith clearly disdains,” Trump said.
“You take a look at this guy, he looks like a thug. But then I watched him make a speech the other day and he was trembling because it wasn’t his territory and feels much safer in the inner sanctums of the ‘Department of injustice’ where he can be in his room and scream at people.”
The 45th President then accused the U.S. federal government of conducting psychological warfare operations against American citizens and compared their actions to how they run destabilization efforts and regime change campaigns in foreign countries.
“Don’t forget this persecution is being done by the same weaponized agencies that for seven years have been running illegal psychological warfare campaigns against the American people, much as if they were trying to destabilize a foreign country,” Trump declared.
The 45th president reaffirmed his pledge to appoint a “real special prosecutor” to wage lawfare against Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, members of the Biden family.
The president’s remarks drew loud chants of “lock him up!” from the enthusiastic crowd.
Trump had previously vowed to go after corrupt actors in DC in an all-caps laden post to his social media platform Truth Social ahead of his arraignment in Miami.
“Now that the ‘seal’ is broken, in addition to closing the border & removing all of the ‘criminal’ elements that have illegally invaded our country, making America energy independent, & even dominant again, & immediately ending the war between Russia & Ukraine, I will appoint a real special ‘prosecutor’ to go after the most corrupt president in the history of the USA, Joe Biden, the entire Biden crime family, & all others involved with the destruction of our elections, borders, & country itself!” wrote the 45th President.
