A video has gone viral of a Wisconsin teen reading a Bible in the park. It seems innocent and it makes you wonder why he would get arrested for reading a Bible passage. Well, as it turns out, he was reading the Bible in a public park where men were dressed like scantily clad women were gyrating in front of children. A “family-friendly drag show” I believe it’s called.
It’s still innocent (the Bible reading part) and shouldn’t be grounds for arresting the teen. But… know what I mean?
Jason Storms, who recorded the video, told The Republic Sentinal that per orders from city leaders, people were arrested for praying and talking to attendees of this family-friendly sexual cabaret. “It was open to the public, thus the public’s right to free speech carries with them. One was arrested later in the day for preaching on the public sidewalk outside the venue and is being charged with unlawful use of sound amplification and resisting arrest.”
A few dozen police officers were on duty to protect the performance where men dressed like scantily clad women were gyrating in front of children. This makes the following two pieces of information from TRS quite curious.
1. Performers dressed in lingerie were “dancing and gyrating in front of little children, who were invited to give them one dollar bills.”
2. “Sexually explicit conduct” in front of minors is illegal according to Wisconsin Law.
Marcus Schroeder, the chad who got arrested for spitting Bible verses, said he’d not only do it again but would do so with great aplomb.
