On December 6, 2023, Beth Majeroni announced her campaign for the seat in Georgia State Senate District 1.
In her announcement, she declared, “As a proud Georgian, a dedicated educator, and a passionate advocate for protecting your constitutional rights, it is evident that now is the time for action, for unity, and for true CONSERVATIVE LEADERSHIP. Our state, like our nation, is at a crossroads, and we need representatives who will not only echo our voices but amplify them under The Dome.”
She noted that she’s running for office because she believes “in the power of our community and the strength of our conservative values” and wants “to ensure a future where our children can reach their full potential and thrive, a future where education, medical freedom, and election integrity are prioritized, and our God-given rights are fiercely protected.” Majeroni’s campaign will be focused on “preserving our children’s rights to a quality education so they can become tomorrow’s leaders, protecting our parents’ rights, and ensuring the transparency and integrity of our electoral processes.”
Majeroni will be squaring off against incumbent Senator Ben Watson, who has been a member of the State Legislature for over ten years and State Senator since 2015. In phone correspondence with BLP, she observed that in his time in the State Senate Watson has rarely faced a primary opponent.
She added that Watson “has unfortunately become complacent and entitled because he thinks he can have the seat as long as he wants it.” Majeroni stressed that “it’s time for a new lens on District 1.”
She highlighted how she “has a good reputation in the community for not being afraid to speak up” about the principles she believes in.
Majeroni has spoken for “the benefit and advocacy of the school children” in the Savannah-Chatham County public school system.
She told BLP that “Education in our school system has been replaced by indoctrination.”
Majeroni concluded by declaring that she’s running for office “because of her children and grandchildren, and other people’s children and grandchildren.” She views her campaign as a way to secure a more prosperous society for future generations to enjoy.
Republican voters in Majeroni’s district have the chance of putting a true conservative fighter in office who is focused on “defending what’s right” next year in the May 21st, 2024 Republican Primary..
