“People have been treated unconstitutionally,” Trump said in his message. “In my opinion, very very unfairly. And we’re going to get to the bottom of it.”
45th President Donald Trump on Thursday delivered special remarks directed towards victims of the Justice Department’s widespread dragnet law enforcement roundup of January 6 protestors.
In a video that is circulating among conservatives on social media, the former president lamented the Biden administrations unconstitutional persecution of January 6 defendants, many of which remain behind bars despite not having been found guilty of any crime.
“People have been treated unconstitutionally,” Trump said in his message. “In my opinion, very very unfairly. And we’re going to get to the bottom of it.”
“I take it very seriously. I have never seen anything like it at all levels. It’s the weaponization of the Department of Justice and we can’t let this happen in our country, because our country is going, not socialist, they’ve skipped over that. They skipped over socialism, our country is going communist,” Trump said.
“This is what happens, and we can’t let it happen. We have to stop it. So I want to thank everybody for working so hard. I know you’re working to get justice for people that are imprisoned right now, people that are being tormented. Can’t let it happen. We are going to stop it. We’re going to win,” the 45th President added.
The former president’s remarks came shortly after Infowars host Alex Jones, conservative streamer Nick Fuentes, and Stop The Steal Founder Ali Alexander tweeted from the now-suspended Twitter account of Ye, formerly known as “Kanye West.”
In Ye’s third tweet written by Alexander, the pro-Trump panelist stated “INVESTIGATE THE CIVIL RIGHTS AND DUE PROCESS VIOLATIONS OF THE J6 POLITICAL PRISONERS.“
“Why were the only people killed unarmed protestors that day?” Alexander noted, referencing the death of Ashli Babbitt at the Capitol on January 6.
“I love the first amendment!” Jones tweeted from the @kanyewest account. “Long live Ye! I pray to Jesus that Elon is for real…” he wrote, after a discussion with Ye about what he should tweet.
